(Approximate) Levi died. He lived 137 years.

Ex 1:7 And the children of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly and multiplied and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.

The sons of Hezron, grandson of Judah, are Jerahmeel and Ram (in the linaege of David). He also had Caleb.

Ex 1:8-11 Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we: Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land. Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Ramses.

they afflicted them,
the more they multiplied
and grew..(Ex 1:12)

And the Egyptians
made the children of Israel

Aaron was born
Ex 1:22 And Pharoh charged all his people saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.

Moses was born to Amram and Jochebed. Amram lived 137 years.
Moses's mother hid him for 3 months. When she could no longer hide him, she put him in a basket and placed him among the reeds along the bank of the Nile.  Pharoah's daughter went down to bath and found the basket.  Later Moses became her son.(Exodus 2:1-10)

Moses was educated in the courts of the Pharaoh. Acts 7:22 "And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds."

Approx. time Joshua was born

Moses killed an Egyptian who had been beating a hebrew worker and hid him in the sand. (Exodus 2:11-14)
Pharoah sought to slay Moses so Moses fled to the land of Midian. (Exodus 2:15)  Moses dwelled with Jethro, the priest of Midian who gave him his daughter, Zipporah.  They had a son named Gershom.

Moses kept the flocks of his father-in-law in Midian and one day led them to the backside of the desert, to Horeb, the mountain of God.  God appeared to him out of fire within a bush which was not consumed and called to him. (Exodus 3:1-5)

The Lord said to Moses, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.  I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt.  I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.  So I have come down to rescue them fromt he hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey - the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites...go.   I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt." (Exodus 3:7-10)

Ex 2:23 During the long period, the king of Egypt died.  The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God.

Ex 10:7 Pharaoh's officials said to him, How long will this man be a snare to us?  Let the people go...Do you not yet realize that Egypt is ruined?
Ex 12:40 Now the length of time the Israelite people lived in Egypt was 430 years.  At the end of the 430 years, to the very day, all the Lord's divisions left Egypt. Ex 12:37 ..[they] journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about 600,000 on foot that were men, beside children.

During the first 250 years of this millenium, Ur, the site of the great ziggurat was a flourishing commercial center along the Euphrates  Earlier, Ur had been invaded and destroyed by the Elamites in 2000 BC but the city was shortly rebuilt though under the power of the Elamites.

At the same time the Phoenician civilization was forming. They were a mixture of Hittite and Semitc stock and called themselves Canaanites coming from an area near Sumer. The Phoenicians called the goddess, Europa, which had been called by the Babylonians, Ishtar. Europa was the daughter of Agenor or (in Homer's version) of Phoenix)

The Amorites, a Semitic people, invaded Babylonia. Their attacks had helped to destroy the power of Ur.  These invaders established themselves in Akkad and made Babylon their chief city.   The earlier Kingdom of Akkad had occupied the land of Northern Mesopotamia, made up of several city-states, one of which was Kish.  The Amorite Dynasty was established and after 250 years, the 6th king of this dynasty was Hammurabi (1750).

From about 1900 to 1600 BC, the Creten economic and political organization was increasingly centralized and magnificent palaces were built at Cnossus, Phaestos, and elsewhere. A system of hieroglyphic writing and very elaborate art forms were developed. (Amer Peo Ency)

The Minoan civilization began to develop on Crete. This civilization greatly influenced the culture of the Greek cities. Migrations began from Crete and from the north and east of the Black Sea, to Greece during the period from 1900 to 1600 BC.   The Creten economic and political organization was increasingly centralized and magnificent palaces were built at Cnossus, Phaestos, and elsewhere. A system of hieroglyphic writing and very elaborate art forms were developed.

During this time in Mesopotamia the Goddess, Barat An-na (Great Mother of the Fire-stone) was worshiped. The Sumerians called her Antu. She was the wife of the god, Anu, and the mother of Enki. In later times, she was identified with Diana of Ephesus (Diana of the Nine Fires). The cult of Barat An-na spread across Syria into the Phoenician kingdom, where they began to portray her on their coins. In these representations, she sat by the sea-shore with a torch of fire.

From 1800 to 1300 BC, Troy flourishes.

It is widely accepted that the first clear Maya settlements appeared about 1800 BC along what is now the border of Mexico and Guatemala.  And it is thought that migrations out of this area gave rise to the later Olmec civilization. source

From 1792 to 1750 BC Hammurabi was king of Babylon. During his reign, 250 laws were established and inscribed on a 7 ft high black stone.  A scene at the top showed the sun-god, Shamash, committing the laws to Hammurabi.

Babylon, the capital of Babylonia, becomes the largest city of the world. Prior that this time, Thebes, capital of Egypt, was the largest city.

Hammurabi drove out the Elamites, overthrew Rim-Sin of Larsa, and established Babylonian dominance in Mesopotamia

Mount Veniaminof in Alaska erupts.

Hammurabi's successors were unable to maintain his empire, and one area after another was lost.  New invaders pressed in, such as the Kassites, a barbarian people from the Zagros Mountains in the east.

Sumerian scribes were trained in cuneiform script & the following excerpt, dating from 1750 BC expresses the scribes high opinion of themselves: "Your humanism will permit you to raise your neck & your breast, you will be the head of great and small in your city, your city will mention your name favorably, your deity will give you a will-established reputation, in the eyes of Nanna your deity you will be pleasing, the glance of the deity Ninugula will be favorable to you.

The southern region of Egypt is overrun and conquered briefly by Asian tribes known as the Hyksos, thought to be of Caananite, Amorite origin. They did not control the Upper Nile region and interests were mainly commercial.

From about 1600 BC to 1100 BC, Crete controlled the seas and Cnossus attained its height. Greek influence was strong evidenced by the discovery of Greek script in use. (Amer Peo Encyl - Minoan Civilization)

By 1600-1500 BC, early Olmec culture had emerged around the San Lorenzo Tenochtitlán site near the coast in southeast Veracruz.

From 1580-1557, Ahmose I reigned as Pharoah of Egypt. He was the High Priest and was supposed to possess secret wisdom which was passed by word of mouth to worthy initiates. This secret wisdom was called Gnosis and this "superiority of knowledge" which was never put into writing.  It was feared it would be abased by wrongdoers. A translation from the hieroglyphics reads gives instructions to initiates; "...never let the ignorant person, or anyone whatsoever look upon it...the things which are done secretly in the hall of the tomb are mysteries.

(@1560 BC)The Hyksos were expelled from Egypt by the Pharoah, Ahmose I.

From (ca. 1550–1529 BC), Amenhotep I reigned in Egypt succeding Ahmose I as Pharoah and teacher.

The first Babylonian dynasty collapsed when the Hittites sacked its capital. From the northwest the Hittites came and raided the country sacking Babylon & putting an end to Hammurabi's dynasty.   Weakened by these assaults, the country fell to the Kassites in 1531 BC who took possession of the land.  The Kassites were people who resided in the Zagros mountains of present day Iran.   The Kassites restored the idol of Marduk to Babylon which had been removed by the Hittites.
The Kassites ruled Babylonia practically without interruption for almost four hundred years— the longest rule by any dynasty in Babylonian history.

The great Minoan Culture on Crete, including art, architecture, and trade routes, disappeared. It is believed that an earthquake caused a tsunami which wiped out the culture and a Minoan city of 150,000 people.

Thutmose III (ca. 1506–1452 BC) ruled in Egypt. He organized a school of philosophy made up of advanced thinkers, philosophers, sages, and scholars. It was a secret order with a Grand Council. (@1499 BC)

For 500 years starting 1500 BC, Phoenicia was ruled by Hyksos or shephard kings who made the region into a vast empire.  They also introduced the horse and chariot as war weapons into the Nile Valley. The Egyptian King, Thutmose III (1506–1452) vaquished the Phoenecians but was resisted by the Amorites and Hittites who were blending into Phoenicia.  Phoenicia was to become the greatest sea power of the ancient world.  It's language was closely related to Hebrew.

(@1500 BC; give or take 100 years) Alanus, of the line of Japheth, was the first man who came to Europe with his three sons, Hessitio, Armenon, and Negue.   Hessitio had 4 sons, Francus, Romanus, Britto, and Albanus. Armenono had 5 sons, Gothus, Walagothus, Gepidus, Burgundus; and Negue had 3 sons, Wandalus, Saxo, and Boguarus.

The 4 nations which came from Hessitio were the Franks, the Latins, the Albans, and the Britons.   From Armenon come 5 nations: the Goths, the Valagoths, the Gepids, the Burgundians, and the Lombards. And from Negue come 4 nations: The Bavarians, the Vandals, the Saxons and the Thuringians. (pg 213 After the Flood; Apendix 5; translated by the author from Nenniun, the Welsh historian of the 8th century who copied this from more ancient records of the history of the Britons)

The Tel-el-Amarna letters found in Egypt reveal an extensive correspondence between the Kassite kings and the Egyptian pharaohs, and tell of royal marriages between the dynasties. (Amer People's Encyclopedia)

Between 1500 BC and 1400 BC, the Shang Dynasty Chinese capital city at Ao had massive defensive walls of 20 metres (66 ft) in width at the base and enclosed an area of some 2,100 square yards. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/15th_century_BC)
